Workshops To Provide Winning Tips at WaMH in PC Annual Conference

Our annual conferences will offer delegates some top tips on how to make the most of a 10-minute consultation.

The 2013 ‘Really Useful Conference’ will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 9 October and will be offering a series workshops on innovative primary care mental health approaches which are currently helping thousands of patients across the country.

Run in conjunction with primhe (Primary Care Mental Health and Education) the day-long agenda will look at how the well-being of staff and patients can be improved in general practice.

On the day the agenda will be split up into a series of workshops led by professional trainers on the following subjects:

  • Mindfulness
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
  • NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
  • Mental Health Promotion
  • Bathe Techniques
  • Emotional Freedom Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Positive Psychology
  • Safeguarding

Our target audience is wide ranging but our focus is to bring mental health practitioners and professionals, such as GPs, nurses and psychiatrists together with agencies, commissoners, organisations and policy makers so they can work in collaboration.

Free Life-Saving CPR Training On Offer At Our Annual Conference

We're offering free CPR training to delegates at our forthcoming annual conference.

The training will be provided by pre-hospital cardiac arrest experts Emergency Medical Training (EMT) on a first-come-first-served basis to the first 24 delegates who apply.

The people at EMT passionately believe that everyone should learn the valuable life saving skills they offer and which you could one day use to save someone's life.

The hour-long training session will incorporate adults and paediatric protocols and be certified for 1 year but numbers are limited so please book early.

We're also currently offering a discounted early bird delegate fee until Friday (26th July) with tickets priced at just £105 for this year's conference.

After this date fees will rise to £125 per person for the event which will be run in conjunction with primhe (Primary Care Mental Health and Education).
